From Prediction to Reality: How Bitcoin will Win in 2023

OpinionI predicted that Bitcoin will face attacks in the 2018-2023 period, but that it would eventually emerge victorious by the end. While I’m not a prophet, I knew that this would be a crucial time for Bitcoin. We saw a “cleansing”, of the Bitcoin ecosystem, and an opportunity for it to refocus on its main mission, monetary freedom. Coinfloor was founded on the idea that a decentralized currency would be used to reflect the centralized financial system. This led to a “cleansing” of the Bitcoin ecosystem. I sold Coinfloor in 2021 as it was too focused on keeping its users in regulated Bitcoin land. The negative effects of this are being painfully shown by the collapse and regulatory fallout of FTX and the losses incurred for so many innocent people. On the other hand, real Bitcoin is flourishing across the Global South and post Soviet regions where innovation is addressing the myth that Bitcoin has no good uses. A new type of frontier town is emerging that combines renewable energy, Bitcoin mining and internet connectivity. Fedimint, Fedi, and Fedi are key to achieving hyperbitcoinization. I have known for a long time that true Bitcoin adoption is only possible from the people. The world will be able to experience the most primitive form protection: humans united, translated and turbocharged by the latest technology. Communities will play a key role in the future development of Bitcoin. While Bitcoiners are already helping communities all over the world, it is crucial that our global community remains united in order to win this battle. As I predicted in my 2020 post I believe we will succeed and so I am more confident than ever that Bitcoin will win 2023.
